Been more then a week I have been going to KMC, and it’s been amazing, loads and loads better then ....... ahh well you get it….!
The course – we have around 12-14 books which is pretty cool! 19th centaury classics with Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre and all that, and then 20th centaury modern Indian writing which includes Rabindranath Tagore and Amitav Ghosh, good stuff, along with that we have short stories, poem, prose & plays, “opening your minds” are the keywords in this course
The crowd – well my classmates are ok –ok , I really don’t know all of them “that” well , but the good thing is, the guys are so unlike the typical “gawar” types, the girls most of them look the same to me but I guess they are fine…well kind of! The seniors are really cool…. At least till now they are… ragging was so much fun man! Like I was made to fight with this girl who is supposed to be dating my boyfriend and we were only allowed to use Hindi abuses, like hell …. I started of , yelling all what I know in Hindi, and surprisingly the seniors loved it and they were actually cheering, the girl hardly said anything, man I looked like a total bitch ( no duh!) finally the decision of the jury ( seniors) that the guy belongs to me…. Ha! Take that sucker, but the thing is when they came to know that I am a “player” (part of dramatic society), they said, “Yea she looks like the player material” and you know what.., that was some compliment, I mean being a part of players is a big thing, and being able to match them is something… well is something I would love to… and now surprisingly all of a sudden I am popular…phew! And o'course a visit to the "we the people" debate on ndtv 24X7 was a great experience, Bharkha Datt was mesmermizing, and basically all i did there was gape and stare my eyeballs out at her...
The players – sounds kinda cool na??? The way people look at you in awe, “oh you’re a player?” yea yea fine I am part of “the players” but seriously it’s not as rosy as it sounds yaar, the seniors treat us like dogs, or I would say even worse then dogs, their sarcasm and their personal comments are sometimes simply too much to handle, sure I agree all of them are brilliant, and it’s more like a trend that anyone who is a player-smokes, including the teachers, am not complaining though...... I guess it’s ok, and like “every dog has it’s day”, I am gonna have mine and that too pretty soon…. First on the list –IITD … make way people … here comes the players! lol ;)
------>>> I miss Hansraj , not chemistry though, but yea Hansraj, feel kinda sad that i lost the "Hansarian" tag, but one thing for sure Hansraj is huge! and excelltent in acedamics when it comes to science and commerce, KMC.. well science branch kinda suckes but luckily the english department is too good to be true and most of the english professors are heading some cultural society or the other, so english department is the mainheader of ECA and ECA is the reason why the college is so well known, however LP, the dingy chem labs, the lawns, my friends, Kriti and harry potter look alike... are something which will always remain a part of me...
